Maxis Healing Journey

Maxis Healing Journey

All the struggles and diseases are there for a reason. Life initiates us by suffering. In order to heal ourselves first. To dive deep into our soul’s purpose. Especially when we’re about to go off track, the universe makes sure to get our attention right back on what matters …

So in 2015, when I was 20 years old and had just started studying sports science, a hip injury revealed itself to me. I had ignored the pain in my groin for years until it became so severe that I could no longer walk. The structures were overloaded, and the head of the joint was not moving smoothly within the joint capsule, causing nasty inflammation. Thanks to injections, physiotherapy, and functional training, I was fit again by my second semester and able to continue and ultimately complete my studies.

It was during this time that I discovered yoga. Feeling deep into my body through breath and stretching is helping me to stay healthy and treat myself with care ever since. This was the beginning of a revealing journey. Exploring Yoga I became aware of the underlying vedic wisdom and spiritual teachings that transcend all religions. Also during my studies, Alan Watts found me and I began to examine the nature of self, being highly drawn to Zen and Advaita Vedanta. Ram Das taught me about the nature of love and Wim Hof helped me in reaching higher states of consciousness. IIt was when Osho found me and took me on the tantric journey, initiating me into a deeper understanding of sexuality and energetics.

So by the end of 2019, although I had started studying all these philosophies and having my first spiritual breakthroughs, deep down I was still depressed. I was fed up with this world. I was sick of people’s behavior. I was sick of my own behavior. It all began in my teenage years. The inner struggle, the feeling of disconnection from society, the pain got bigger and bigger during my early 20s. I tried to fit in, I tried to please the ones who love me. I tried to find a role in society and realized there is none I really feel to play. When I finished my Bachelor at the end of 2019, I was so done with everything and everyone. Myself included. I felt a strong pull towards the essence behind those teachings. So I decided to fly to India after my completion. It was this motivation that kept me going, finally finding freedom from what I’ve chosen to be.

So I ventured out and explored the homeland of Yoga: India…and that’s when it all changed. To be continued…
